While Chlorine is an industry standard for water treatment, many people have allergic reactions to it, even at low levels. These standard chemicals can cause skin rashes, red eyes, flaky skin, and some people just don't like the smell of chlorine. The problem with chemicals is that you have to maintain the levels of chlorine in the water to effectively treat the bacteria and viruses. Too much chlorine is harmful to the customer while too little results in bacteria and viruses! Every time you are in your spa, you are breathing vapor and absorbing chemicals in your skin.
